What does it do? ​

The plugin adds Pay with Flutterwave as a Shopware payment method. The customer pays on Flutterwave's hosted checkout and returns to your shop; the order is marked paid only after the plugin has fetched the transaction from Flutterwave and checked it.

Who it is for: Shopware merchants with a Flutterwave account selling in currencies Flutterwave supports.

How it fits into Shopware: an ordinary Shopware payment method assigned to sales channels. Payment status and refunds use Shopware's own order-transaction states and refund records.

Key features ​

  • Verified payments — status, amount and currency are re-checked with the Flutterwave API; the return link is never trusted.
  • Payments reconciled without the customer — the charge.completed webhook settles orders when the customer does not return.
  • Cancel and failure handled — a cancelled payment marks the transaction Cancelled, a declined one Failed.
  • Refunds from the order page — full or partial, limited by Flutterwave's own live refund history.
  • Refund permission — a dedicated Process Flutterwave refunds role permission.
  • Customer bank details — optional bank-account form, verified with Flutterwave, optional BVN.
  • Branded hosted checkout — your title and description on Flutterwave's page.
  • Correct amounts in every Flutterwave currency, including zero-decimal (RWF, UGX) and three-decimal (KWD).
  • Separate test and live keys and webhook hashes. English, German and French.

No message-queue worker or scheduled tasks are needed.

Quick start ​

  1. composer require "kommandhub/flutterwave-sw:^0.9@beta", then activate — Installation.
  2. In Flutterwave, set the webhook URL https://<your-shop-domain>/flutterwave/webhook and choose a secret hash.
  3. In the plugin, turn on Enable Sandbox, paste the test keys and the same secret hash — Configuration.
  4. Add Pay with Flutterwave to your sales channel.
  5. Place a test order with a Flutterwave test card — the order becomes Paid.

Important limitations ​

  • Webhooks are verified with the hash on All Sales Channels; one Flutterwave account (or one hash) per installation is the supported setup.
  • Split payments / subaccounts are not supported yet.
  • Payment Options, Session Duration and Max Retry Attempts on the configuration screen have no effect in this version; the logo setting is unlikely to show on Flutterwave's page.
  • The bank-details form accepts only 10-digit account numbers.
  • The plugin does not create currencies or languages.
